Please could anyone advise or share their experiences of the assessments, processes and procedures on becoming a Special Guardian.

I am a grandmother, and will shortly go through the assessments for a Special Guardianship order to care for my grandchildren.  I have already had a Viability Assessment which was positive.

From some documentation I have read, the assessments can take many weeks and are very in-depth.

Any advice/comments would be welcome.

Thank you.
