Hello, I wonder if any one can help me. I'm at my wits end with my daughter and her behaviour, we can't control her. She throws herself up doors and our sheds. Head bangs walls, punches the furniture, glass doors she's always got marks and bruises on her due to what she's doing and she always says she will report me for doing it to her when I haven't. I'v had to have the police out on a few occasions due to her assaulting me but this time they didn't come out and told me that it was either a job for ss or cahms but neither of them want to know. Please can someone advise me on what I can do, I am desperate

Hi, I understand that this is a difficult and troubling situation. It may be difficult given the current national situation, but we suggest that you contact Social Services and CAHMS again, get on their back until they help, unfortunately these sorts of situations happen often but by being a thorn in their side you can show them that the situation really is serious. Under other national circumstances we might suggest that she stay with family or friends for a couple of days to help you clear your mind and come up with a way to tackle the situation. you may find it helpful to read our articles on teenage behaviour. If you feel you need further support please e-mail us at askus@familylives.org.uk or call our freephone helpline on 0808 800 2222.

Hello, while I understand this is a hard time yes I should have had a visit or a call last Friday and still haven't from the strengthening family's team but as of yet I am still waiting. Social services have yet again said its not their issue its an issue for the strengthening family's team who should have contacted me and yet again haven't. At the moment I know its hard with the current situation but to be promised something yet again and for it not to happen yet again it's hard. I don't even know if I can or should call about it. I will be documenting it and making sure that I am heard and that it's not good enough that I am being treated in this way after being so desperate for help.
