Hi I'm desperate for some advice on a very sticky situation. ...my ex stopped my access over jealousy of my current girlfriend even after 4 years..she has caused nothing but grief for my children ....I won my access in court so she then stood up and said she sees my partner as a threat lol...so back to court I go after a few months and of course my partner is then granted to be able to be around them...so then the ex stands up n says she wants to move to Newcastle. .I live in Kent. ..all the ex has in Newcastle is half sister...off back to court I go and she's granted permission to move....I get just half the school holidays as my access once she moves...any way the children are with me at the moment but they are due to be handed back to move on Wednesday. ..for the last few days the kids have been very distaught,  hysterical,  begging me not to let them go , the children are 4 , 6 and nine years old...they have voiced everyday while crying they refuse to leave my house and walk over to mummy on Wednesday. ...what do I do...if I keep them can the police arrest me or take the kids from me....it's not going to be pretty when they try ripping me from their arms

Thank you for your post and I am sorry to hear that you and the children are going through such a tough time. It must be absolutely heartbreaking when they say they don't want to go home and they want to stay with you. It seems like you have been in and out of court and may be reluctant to seek further legal advice. However, it is important to find as much information as you can about your rights. This link from Child Law Advice will be useful to read and you might find it helpful to read this too from Separated Dads, please click here. If you need further support do not hesitate to email our support team at askus@familylives.org.uk or call us on 0808 800 2222.
