I am after a bit of advice. I’ve suffered from mild anxiety and depression in the past following the breakdown of my previous marriage, but have been off medication for a while now. However, since my baby was born 4 weeks ago I’ve been constantly overly anxious and emotional. I put it down to baby blues, but it’s escalated since the higher measures about Coronavirus have been put in place. It’s got to the point where I can’t look forward to anything because I’m too worried that something is going to happen to my baby or my family. I am hoping it’s still my hormones and there isn’t anything more serious because I really don’t want to take medication again. Any advice would be really helpful!

Hi, I understand that this is a difficult and upsetting situation. There are a lot of people in your situation. Perhaps you could call your doctor and go back on the medication if you found that helpful. If you're looking for clear and truthful information on the Coronavirus, the only valid sources of information are the World Health Organisation and NHS websites. Take things day by day and follow the adivce of the organisations previously mentioned. If you feel you need further support please e-mail us at askus@familylives.org.uk or call our freephone helpline on 0808 800 2222.
