My 15 Yr old autistic daughter has been bullied for almost two years at mainstream High school.. We have done all we can to make the school listen and do something. They are hopeless. We have emailed, met with slt, involved the police three times, contracted the govenors and now complained to ofsted (awaiting their response) . Would appreciate any advice about where to go next to stop it.

Hi, I understand that this is a difficult and frustrating situation. If you haven't already, we suggest obtaining a copy of the school's anti-bullying policy and their complaints policy, both of which they are required to provide you with by law. You can site these when discuss the situation with the relevant bodies. It sounds like you've done quite a lot so far. Honestly, beyond Ofsted the next person to contact would be your local MP. We would suggest contacting them privately via a letter or an e-mail and publicly if they have social media as that provides public pressure. You may find it helpful to read our articles on bullying at school. If you feel you need further support please e-mail us at askus@familylives.org.uk or call our freephone helpline on 0808 800 2222.
